I decided to check Firefox's rating on the site, they did give Firefox the benefit of the doubt and made a guide to remove spyware from it, though I do understand Brave has a much smaller market share so they may not be interested in putting in the effort to do that. some of those points aren't an issue with the browser itself but instead of users preference- such as Google search engine, I will agree Brave is expected to do better without needing excessive user intervention to obtain the goal that Brave had promised to deliver. the just removed most of the google spyware and put in their own.

I made a post on Brave's community forums bringing up the findings from that link you had sent and I'll let you know how they react to that (if any). Begs the question, what browser is to be trusted? I am disappointed to learn the extras involving Brave, as it is worrying that the founder of Mozilla has any type of 'phoning home', 'Piwiki analytics collection', 'Google Fonts' and more on their browser. Half of that post seems to be speculation, other half is facts.

The co-founder of Mozilla who created Firefox and the creator of Javascript along with their reputable team did that and made a browser based on Chromium, and they too remained open-source.
